Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Smart Foyer (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit www.smartfoyer.com, how it is used, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

• Contact form. Our contact form isn’t connected yet, so no information is collected through it. You can email us at [email protected] instead; we use what you send only to reply.
• Newsletter. Our newsletter isn’t running yet, so no email addresses are collected for it. If we launch it, this policy will be updated.
• Analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and reports only aggregate page-view data (details below). We don’t use Google Analytics.
• Hosting logs. Our hosting provider may record standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and time of request) for security and reliability.

Cloudflare Web Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, provided by our hosting platform (Cloudflare Pages), to see which pages are read and how quickly they load. It is privacy-focused and cookieless: it doesn’t store anything in your browser, track individual visitors, or build profiles across websites. It collects aggregate page-view data such as pages visited, the referring site, country, and browser and device type, plus page-load timing. Cloudflare handles this data under its privacy policy. Because it comes from the hosting platform, it may not be used if the site moves to a different host; this policy will be updated if that changes.

Savings calculator data

The Smart Plug Savings Calculator runs entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us or stored anywhere; they disappear when you leave or reload the page.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We don’t set analytics or advertising cookies: Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless. Your light/dark theme choice is saved in your browser’s local storage and never sent to us. Retailers you visit through our links may set their own cookies (see below). You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

Affiliate links and third parties

Some links go to retailers such as Amazon. They are not affiliate links today, but those retailers may still set their own cookies when you visit them. Their use of data is governed by their own privacy policies.

How we use information

We use information to reply to messages, understand and improve the site, and keep it secure. We do not sell your personal information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example the EU/UK under GDPR or California under the CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or object to the processing of your personal data. To make a request, contact us at [email protected].

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
